The article presents selected considerations in the field of the security environment with respect to uncertainty and risk factors along with the approximation of the strategy F.U.D. [fear, uncertainty and doubt].
The subject of the considerations contained in the article is the issue of cyber-identity as a subject of protection in the digital area. The considerations concern both the consequences of EU regulations in the field of personal data protection in the context of information placed by the users themselves, as well as the algorithms that are used for analysis.
The article contains considerations regarding in the area of the so-called human factor as a potential source of hazards and proliferation of threats. The issues of conceptual and definition matter as well as selected types of threats were analysed – including attacks of type inside-job and generated by social engineering methods.
