We consider modern methods of transmitting messages by means of modulating the intensity of the flux of visible light from LEDs. The structure of data transmission and existing standards are analyzed. The possibility of using technology to organize a channel of information leakage has been determined. The development of microelectronics forms new channels of confidential information leakage. The transmission of acoustic information by digitally modulating the light output of LEDs has now become physically realizable. Theoretical calculations showed a high potential sensitivity of MEMS microphones. The calculated estimated values of the leak channel channel indicate its high potential danger. The considered model of the leakage channel of acoustic information by means of modulation of visible light based on digital modulation methods makes it possible to use a maximum likelihood receiver to receive a coded signal susceptible to intersymbol interference and additive white Gaussian noise.
