The combination of interests of TNCs and the state is considered. An assessment of the activities of the world’s largest TNCs. The dynamics of the number of TNCs in the top 100 companies in the world by country is determined. A comparative analysis of the size of market capitalization by sectors of companies. The contradiction between the international global nature of TNC operations and the territorially limited jurisdiction of the state was revealed. It was found that the market capitalization of multinational companies in the top 100 has decreased, but global companies have shown significantly better results than their smaller representatives have.

The definition of the world technology market is given and its features are characterized. The structure of the world technology market formed by institutional elements is considered. The following segments of the world technology market have been studied: the market of patents and licenses, the market of scientific and technological products, the market of scientific and technological specialists, the market of high-tech capital. According to Ukraine’s ratings in the world technology market (2018-2019), the reasons for its lag in it are named. The tendencies of the world market of technologies are substantiated.

The theory of information (post-industrial) society, revealing the main provisions of economy and society. The process of globalization is accompanied by the avalanche spreading information flows the phenomenon of information picture of the world as a scientific and methodological means of study of information reality reflects an important aspect of social life. Internet is a universal communication space, in which very different interests and values coexist. The purpose is a scientific and practical study of the problem of forming the digital economy. The structure of the section includes consideration of the following issues: formation of a virtual segment of the information market; the development of information and communication technologies; introduction of elements of the digital economy in Ukraine and the world; innovative business development and the startup ecosystem. During the study, various scientific methods were used, in particular: monographic, comparative, analytical, graphical, forecasting.

Features of activity of the international airports of the world in the conditions of a pandemic are considered. The losses of the world’s airlines are given. The condition of aircraft manufacturers is assessed. The activity of the main international airports of Ukraine in recent years is analyzed. The programs of development of the international airports of Ukraine for the near future are considered.

The theory of cycles as an objective form of development of the world economy (national economy) is studied. The phases of the economic cycle are named: recovery, prosperity, recession, depression. It is recognized that today the whole world is isolated due to the COVID-19 virus infection and all countries are experiencing an economic crisis. In these circumstances, it is important to explore ways out of this crisis and prevent the collapse of the economic system as a whole. The purpose of this article is to determine the theoretical and institutional causes of economic cycles to predict the crises that arise, and to find ways to mitigate their negative consequences. The theory of economic cycles and stages of their passage is generalized; conducted an analysis of Ukraine’s economy before and during the crisis of 2019-2020. The application of the historical method allowed to use experience, generalize and systematize the development of economic theory and use the collected and systematized data to identify cause-and-effect relationships and predict the future dynamics of Ukraine’s economy.

The study of the theoretical aspects of the development of innovative business has proved that the most effective form of innovative business, which can create and implement the final product, is a startup. The environment and infrastructure of a startup form its ecosystem. An innovation ecosystem includes economic agents, as well as an innovation environment consisting of ideas, rules of the game, social interactions, and culture. The state of the innovative business and the startup ecosystem of Ukraine behind its main components and institutions are analyzed, and the factors of the development of the startup ecosystem for its competitiveness among the world are determined. Government measures and initiatives should promote the emergence of a community of startup founders who will work closely with other actors in the private sector of the economy and the public sector. At the same time, the state should not assume the role of a leader, but only an initiator.

The structural trends of the last ten years in terms of individual connections in the mobile market have been identified. The characteristics of the largest companies in the world that provide mobile services have been given. The sources of creating new value in the mobile business have been named. A comparative analysis of the provision of services by the leaders of the global mobile services market (like China Mobile, AT&T and Vodafone) has been conducted. The advantages and disadvantages of these mobile operators have been highlighted. A comparative portfolio of services of leaders-mobile operators has been compiled. It has been concluded that there are differences between the UK market, Chinese and US operators.

Transnational corporations’ manufacturing and commercial activities are connected to national and regional markets. Taking this fact into account, the authors identify the main causes of the active development of transnational corporations around the world and determine five levels of economic growth of developing countries. The authors also consider directions of transnational corporations’ influence on developing countries and inquire institutional means and methods of regulating the influence of transnational corporations in Ukraine. Attractive sectors of the Ukrainian economy for transnational corporations’ activities are proposed, the Coca-Cola Company’s activities performed in Ukraine are analyzed, and conditions for further development of transnational corporations in Ukraine are named in the paper.
