The European railway network is undergoing modernization through investments in interoperable and signalling systems such as ETCS. At the same time, the simplification of infrastructure introduces new risks concerning its availability. This paper focuses on the reliability and resilience of the railway system in the face of extraordinary events such as natural disasters, accidents, cyber threats, or planned closures. It highlights how even a small number of outages can completely paralyze the network. The authors explore the railway’s ability to respond swiftly, reroute traffic effectively, and maintain uninterrupted transport. The aim is to ensure that railways can continue to serve as the backbone of the transport system even under crisis conditions.

The paper is focused to relationship between rail infrastructure manager and railway undertaking as a subject in railway market. The rail capacity research offers response to questions about possibilities how to satisfy the railway undertaking requirements. The train path allocation is continuous process that is organised by European law in liberalised railway sector. This contribution provides a new look at the issue of rail capacity, its identification and provision for railway transport undertakings. The paper introduces the selected methodologies for railway infrastructure capacity calculation shortly and its importance for non-discriminatory capacity allocation.

It is important to load and fix goods in railway wagons in well done way to reduce the number of accidents on the railway.
The bad way of loading and fixing of the goods in the railway wagons can bring a very dangerous results as a damage of the transported goods or accident of the train. This paper deals with the analysis of the railway infrastructure parameters which affect the well done way of loading and fixing of goods in railway wagons.
