Today, coastal areas are among the most densely populated and busiest places in the world, with an extremely important economic and social value. With those areas being very intensely exploited, there is a strong possibility of different accidents and catastrophes occurring. Therefore, it is a matter of great importance to implement timely and quality measures to minimize the risk of negative consequences. This research explores the theories of coastal area management and risk management, while focusing on the synthesis of both of them on FSRU terminals. Given the fact that this special type of LNG terminals is becoming more and more present in the coastal areas of the world, this paper implements analysed theories and proposes risk minimising and safety measures for reducing the catastrophe risk with FSFRU terminals and thus contributing to the preservation of the coastal area.

There are numerous methodical approaches to model, numerically analyses or/and simulate single systems’ behavior. However, modeling interdependencies between different systems (so called system-of-systems) and to describe their complex behavior, necessarily by simulation, is still an unresolved issue.

Prevention 4.0 as part of the enterprise’s safety culture is developing HSE management system to address new challenges in prevention. Industry 4.0 anticipates new linkages between technology, man, and management systems to apply the most efficient IT systems to ensure the flexibility of the production process so that its output is a product that takes into consideration customer requirements. These changes include the existence of new types of risk due to the change of the position of man from the classical production centers to the area of superstructure activities, programmer, setter, maintainer, security technician for the digitization of production processes. Risk identification is based on defining the hazards and threats of a complex manufacturing system in the context of Safety and Security – Sa&Se, their formulation so that characteristic parameters can be efficiently digitized within the manufacturing process.

Risk exists objectively in any marine enterprise, since the human presence of a person on the sea is accompanied both by circumstances caused by the irresistible forces of nature and directly by activities in the sphere of trading navigation. Risk management in the logistics supply chain is a complex multidimensional problem addressed in the process of identifying and assessing the risks and taking measures of protection against them.
In logistics, risk refers to the likelihood of an insured event occurring, as well as the possible damage caused by this event. Risk and an insured event can be described by using methods of the reliability theory. In this case, reliability is the probability of operation of the logistics system with failure or with no failure.
In order to identify rational methods and techniques for insurance, it is advisable to construe the logistics system as the process of movement of material resources.

Over the last decades the impact of natural disasters to the global environment is becoming more and more severe. In this context, satellite remote sensing, along with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), has become a key tool in flood risk management analysis. Remote sensing for supporting various aspects of flood risk management was investigated in the present thesis. In particular, the research focused on the use of satellite images for flood mapping and monitoring, damage assessment and risk assessment.

Risk management constitutes currently one of the most important elements of the management of an enterprise, which is crucial to its security and continuous improvement. This is a several-stage process, and its implementation should systematic and principled in character. The article sets out the risk assessment for activities performed in conjunction with individual operations of a manufacturing process, and specifically, the book production process. The risk assessment was preceded by the identification of hazards to technological, transport and control operations, followed by their analysis using an indicator method. Operations have been identified, which are characterized by the highest risk, and preventive and prophylactic actions using various control measures (technical, organizational, legal, individual and collective) have been proposed. Risk assessment for a task is a primary outline for the use and implementation of risk management issues that go beyond the commercial risk assessment in an enterprise.

In this article we discuss the success of the program JUMP MATH in primary and secondary school in search for a system of teaching that produces similar results in all school levels of mathematics and possibly in the sciences. We view the program from risk management point of view and from algorithmic perspective. We propose a general frame of teaching mathematics that can be applied from schools to university level with great economic effect if the results are similar like the results of JUMP MATH.

Risk management in logistics enterprises is one of the important topics in the management of supply. In today’s global reality characterized by constant and rapid changes that make high degree of uncertainty and risk, make the logistics activity critical.

The purpose of this article is to present the main aspects of risk management including the construction of the risk profile in logistics activity in enterprises and demonstrate the applicability of the FTA, which was developed conditional example. This will considerably facilitate efforts directed at risk management in logistics activity in enterprises.
