An experimental setup was developed and manufactured to study a conveyor with a blade working body, which will improve the functional and operational characteristics of conveyors. When conducting a multifactorial experiment to determine the damage to grain material by the blade working body of the conveyor, the variable factors were: the diameter of the casing D, the conveyor loading coefficient ψ, and the rotation frequency of the blade working body n. Based on the results of experimental studies, corresponding regression equations and response surfaces were constructed to establish the influence of controlled factors on the damage to grain materials.

The article presents the construction of a flexible sectional screw working body, the use of which allows to improve the performance of flexible screw conveyors with low material consumption of the working body, which reduces energy costs for the transportation process. Based on the results of static experimental studies, the nature of the change in the dependence of torque on the angle of twist of individual sections has been established.

More that 80% of world trade is transported by sea. Ships are the primary means of transporting cars around the world as well. Most often, this is done with specialized ships called Ro-Ro (Roll on-Roll off), and sometimes, when it comes to individual units, in containers. One of the main concerns during such transportation is the fire safety of the ships. At the same time automotive technology is changing, electric powered vehicles are increasingly displacing internal combustion engines. In the last decade, the production of electric and hybrid cars has grown significantly, which has also led to an increase in the volume of their transportation. However, this also brought a new challenge – the risk of fire caused by their batteries malfunctioning. The danger of fire associated with lithium-ion batteries is well known and there have been quite a few such cases in recent years. The idea of this study is to highlight the conditions of carriage, the fire safety measures on board the ships, as well as the ways of fighting a possible fire.

The article presents the construction of a sectional screw robotic body, the use of which will increase the functional and operational characteristics of flexible screw conveyors when transporting bulk and lumpy materials. An experimental setup of the flexible screw conveyor has been developed to carry out experimental studies. According to the results of the experimental studies of the sectional screw conveyor graphical dependences of torque value changes T and power N on the frequency of rotation of the drive shaft of the working body at full filling of the technological line with the grain material, arising in the process of transporting goods by screw
    conveyors were plotted.

At the present time, mines, power plants, ports are more complicated and more functional compared to the past therefore raw material processing, production, and amount of transportation material have increased. In this paper it is calculated with using necessary equations with standard charts that a stone cargo construction with 500 t/h in the line which is formed by two conveyors with 500 m straight and 100 m which has 30o slope.

Training and examination of working professions employees (further – workers) of the organisations, that are controled by Federal department of ecological, technological and nuclear supervision in Russian Federation (further – Rostechnadzor) of occupational Safety and Health and in the field of safety – it is one of the key factors in creating conditions for trouble-free operation of hazardous production facilities (further – HPF) and reduce industrial injuries at these facilities. This article provides an overview of the existing system of training and examination of workers on occupational health and safety and industrial safety, revealed its main gaps. The development and implementation of guidance cards safe methods and techniques of work are revealed, as a form of industrial instructions.

Transportation of oil and oil products through the pipeline, due to their high viscosity and the paraffin content is technically and technologically complex process. At present, for the purpose of improving rheological parameters of oil, one of the most effective methods consists in its heating in heat-exchange installations to a certain temperature. The degree of improvement of rheological parameters of oil depends on its heating temperature and conditions of subsequent cooling. Heat treatment improves the inlet capabilities of pumps and allows improving the oil transportation process through the main pipes and pipelines.

The given paper dwells on the design procedure of the heat-exchange installation “the pipe in pipe”. Such type of heat-exchanger is characterized by a simple design and low hydraulic resistance, in which the hot heat transmitter is ecologically clean water.
The process of oil heating in heat-exchanger is the process of convective heat exchange, the intensity of which depends on a number of parameters, including the oil density and viscosity, which in turn are the values depending on temperature. On that basis, the paper dwells on the design procedure of the heat-exchange installation (“the pipe in pipe”) that should enable us to ensure the optimal heating temperature and calculation of geometrical sizes of heat-exchanger through mathematical way.
