    Effect of laser power, welding speed and linear energy density factors to mechanical properties in fiber-laser welding of AISI 316 stainless steel

    Austenitic stainless steels are widely used in various industries, including petrochemicals, food processing, and textiles, due to their excellent corrosion resistance, acceptable mechanical properties, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, their good weldability makes laser welding a popular choice for manufacturing various designs. However, achieving optimal weld quality in laser welding requires precise and controlled adjustment of several key parameters. In this study, the effects of two fundamental process parameters—laser power and welding speed—on the mechanical properties of laser-welded AISI 316 stainless steel structures were investigated. For this purpose, a 2-factor, 3-level full factorial experimental design was implemented. The welded structures were subjected to tensile testing, and their microstructures were analysed.

    In this study, optimisation of speed gears for a tractor transmission was performed with KISSsoft software. Optimisation was carried out under three constraints. These constraints are input power-torque, volume for system in transmission and gear ratio for each speed. The purpose of this study was to optimize the module, face width, gear quality, centre distance, number of teeth, helix angle, addendum modification coefficient and pressure angle for each speed considering the constraints. Tooth bending stress, tooth contact stress, contact ratio and specific sliding were considered for evaluation during optimisation. Strength calculation of gear pairs which were optimized and defined all geometrical parameters with KISSsoft were also calculated with mathematical model indicated in ISO 6336. Then, the results were compared.

    In this paper is presented development and implementation of embedded microprocessory SCADA system in factory for production of Ferro-Nickel. In the process of refining of the molten metal are released huge amount of hot gasses that should be purified before letting them to the atmosphere. The project is to change old system of rellay logic and separately located indicators and controllers with centralised SCADA system with PLC and HMI interface, to monitor and control the work of gas Scrubbers and venting system. The paper presents SCADA system functionality and the advantages from the new digital over the old analog equipment.

    A model of an articulated vehicle (tractor with a trailer and/or semitrailer) formulated using joint coordinates and homogenous transformations is presented. Experimental measurements of yawing velocities of the vehicle units have been carried out for a sharp turn manoeuvre. These results are used to calibrate the mathematical models. Using optimisation methods the parameters of tires for the Dugoff-Uffelman model are chosen in such a way that the results of calculations and measurements are compatible.
