The aim of the article is to present what benefits for the entity result from the implemented quality management system in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and whether having such a system is about organizational security and is effective protection against threats related to its functioning.

The article presents how the ISO 9001:2015 standard indicates the directions of action for organizations that have implemented a quality management system in the context of knowledge management and employee competence.

The article presents the direction of development of contemporary human resource management and the use of the human potential in the defense system based on human–employee as the capital of modern organization.
