The article provides a rationale for an improved technological process for transporting grain from combine harvesters (GH) by a semitrailer-dump truck (STT), combined for field work with a tractor and a saddle trailer. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the minimum specific duration of harvesting and transport operations in the field is achieved when using a semi-trailer with a tractor to work with minimal time spent on the formation of transport units using a semi-automatic fifth wheel coupling.
We offer a technical solution, which consists in the temporary redistribution of the grain mass in the back of the STT during its transportation in the field. At the same time, the rear wheels of the STT are partially unloaded and do not compact the soil, and the saddle trailer, equipped with wide-profile low-pressure tires, takes on additional load without significant soil compaction.
The use of STTs operating by the semi-shuttle method in two parts: in the field and on the road section, increases the productivity of the harvesting and transport complex in 1.5 times.

The efficient operation of the harvesting transport complex (grain harvester – transport aggregate) depends on the organization of the transport service and the identification of the necessary means of transport is a probable task.

An economically viable ratio counts combines, service vehicles for which minimizes the target function:

Overview of pre-selection – transport complex as a mass service system.

When machines are operating in a group, service requests are continually being carried out on a grain harrow filled grain hopper and after unloading the hopper, the combine is restarted and is a potential source of new orders.

Thus, the "harvester-car" system is considered a mass service system in which a service request per unit time arises on average. We assume that the stream of queries is a simple (Poisson) stream that is ordinarily, stationary, and without consequences.

The proposed model is certified with real data for agricultural cooperative in Yambol and the results show that for 5 CLAAS combine harvesters, is optimally served by three cars working in a group.

The article examines the current state and investment of supplying the agriculture with the main types of agricultural machinery. The availability and capacity of combine harvesters and tractors of all brands at agricultural enterprises and households has been analyzed. The issues of agricultural machinery renovation, including the expense of imports, are considered. In order to justify the most effective external funding the investments in agricultural machinery, a comparative analysis of financial leasing conditions and bank lending for purchasing a new tractor and a combine harvester. The prospects for further research have identified the justification for the rational composition and structure of the material and technical basis for the intensification of agriculture in the region.
