Paper presents experimental work focused on the application of the separating agent-lubricant SafetyLube 7815 on the surface of the tested samples: ground surface; polished surface; surface of the samples textured by laser in the mode stochastic texture mode. Duplex PVD coatings nACRo4, AlXN3 and AlTiN G were deposited on the surface. The aim of the experimental work was to approximate the breakin conditions of a new or renovated mould part for high pressure casting of aluminium alloys. The release agent-lubricant SafetyLube 7815 was applied to the surface of the specimens by dispersive spraying. The method of measuring the contact contact angle measurement, the influence of the finishing operations of the mould part surface on the surface wettability by contact angle measurement.

The article is focused on the study of the integrity of the material that is used in the automotive industry in process of creating joints by combined technology. The article describes the study of the properties of chemically pretreated surfaces by phosphating technology. When creating new surfaces by phosphating, a new type of phosphate layer was used using modern conductive compounds of polyaniline salts. The pretreated surfaces were investigated in terms of structure, 2D and 3D microgeometry, contact angle in relation to the determination of surface wettability and surface energy. The experiment was realized in order to identify the connections between individual factors of the process and roughness characteristics.

The paper presents the results of research aimed at determining surface wettability. The research was focused on microtexturing by low-energy laser irradiation of the surface of molded parts using innovative engraved surface treatment methods (LBT and EBT) to ensure a smooth distribution of the separation agent on the surface of high-pressure Al castings. The basic material was Uddeholm Dievar, which is used to make molds. PVD coatings were applied to the base material. The effect of laser texturing surfaces on the contact angle size was determined. Contact angle was evaluated on the base material, on PVD coatings without surface treatment and with the use of two types of separating agents.

We present non-trivial spatio-temporal patterns observed in reactive-wetting of mercury droplets spreading on thin metal (silver or gold) films on glass at room temperature. This is the only known study of reactive-wetting at room temperature. We show that there exist two main regimes, the bulk propagation regime and the interface kinetic roughening regime. In both regimes, rich spatio-temporal patterns are observed. We study and characterize these patterns using statistical physics tools, such as the growth, roughness and persistence exponents, and show the manifestation of surface tension relaxation in these statistical measures.

In the present paper, the model of nanostructure formation on solid surface by microsecond laser pulses melting the material is described. It is shown that typical size of surface nanostructure formed depends on laser wavelength, pulse energy, pulse repetition rate, and pulse duration. Within present work a series of 6 experiments devoted to direct laser nanostructuring of titanium (Ti) and copper (Cu) surfaces is carried out. Besides, the effects of nanoroughness on the contact and sliding angles on hydrophilic surfaces were studied theoretically and experimentally.
