This paper proposes to estimate the mathematical model of the DC motor coupled with a reaction wheel in two ways: open-loop identification and closed-loop identification. For open-loop identification, the experimental curve is approximated with the model of object with inertia first order, and inertia second order. In the case of closed-loop identification, it was obtained the model with inertia third order, that approximates the dynamic of the process, where the coefficients are calculated based on the simple analytical expressions according to the values that are extracted from the undamped step response of the closed-loop system with P controller. The results of the experimental model estimation were compared with the results obtained using the System Identification Toolbox from MATLAB. In addition, to the identified object model, it was proposed to tune a PID controller based on the maximum stability degree criterion.

Until Currently in the countries of Europe there is an intensification of the introduction of modern microprocessor systems of railway automation and the increase of their functional capabilities. The introduction of additional functions of control and monitoring systems, tightening of the requirements for the safety of their operation, mutual integration and unification of systems for various purposes, the complication of the implementation of processing of logical dependencies require fundamentally new approaches to the development of software and hardware of a new generation. In this regard, scientific and applied research aimed at the development of appropriate technologies is being conducted, based on the common methods and tools used in the formation of control and monitoring systems for various objects of the railway transport infrastructure. The proposed material contains the main results of such studies conducted over the past five years, as well as the main directions for further improving the development of microprocessor-based rail automation systems.

The development of microelectronics intervened greatly in the automotive industry, therefore this fact cannot be ignored in the education. In today’s teaching absent methods, special classrooms and didactic tool, that allow to know the operating principle, processes understanding and also diagnostics of vehicle electronic systems. The project, which is realising at the University of Žilina intended for the modern education of several study programs is presented in this paper.

This project will influence on professional qualifications of project investigators. They will improve their knowledge by means of professional training. New knowledge they will transfer subsequently in the education.

The strategic goal of the project is “Reconcile the needs of the knowledge society and the labour market in higher education in the field of automotive technology”.

It is evident from the experience of operating the construction machinery (excavators, bulldozers, loaders etc.) that quite often the machinery and its operators are working under severe conditions. When the operators are at risk, it is advisable to deploy remote process control technologies on the work sites. This is what brings research and development of modern remote control systems to the top of the chart in order to improve the productivity of machinery, enhance the safety and quality of the jobs carried out.

Until now, the majority of ergatic control systems in various technological areas are based on a functioning independent of the maintenance process. This approach reduces the efficiency of maintenance and the safety of the system. The report proposes an alternative model of the system’s behavior, based on interactive interaction with both operational and technical staff.

The article concern to the scientific and research works related to the development of mechatronic control system of sowing unit in the tilling-and-sowing combined machine. The essence of the project is the use in the combined machine of innovative control system responsible for the seeding process. The system will control the work of seeding unit (drive) and will maintain a predetermined depth of seeds sowing.

Grooved or pinned units used in seeding are characterized by variability in application rate as a function of the changing conditions of work (e.g. on the slopes). In the proposed solution, on the basis of the identification of the sensitivity of the sowing machine on the changing conditions of work, the control algorithm will be developed, which after application to a controllable propulsion system equipped with the necessary sensors will eliminate inaccurate dosing. Project/Grant No K2/IN2/64/182979 is co-financed from the budget allocated for science.
