Structural and technological aspects of obtaining and processing functional composite materials based on polytetrafluoroethylene are considered. It is shown that, due to the peculiarities of the molecular structure of matrix polymers, within the framework of the traditional technological paradigm, prerequisites are created for the implementation of a structural paradox, which manifests itself in a decrease in the parameters of the stress-strain and tribological characteristics of composites with an increase in the degree of filling. Within the framework of the concept of multilevel modification, methodological approaches to the implementation of the energy and technological compliance of components, which reduce the negative impact of the structural paradox, are considered.

The structural and technological aspects of the polytetrafluoroethylene-matrix composites formation are shown. It is shown that due to the existence of inert components in the process of interfacial interaction with the degree of filling in the traditional technological paradigm implemented structural paradox manifests itself in proportion to the reduction of the parameter of tensile strength with increasing degree of filling. According to the concept of energy and technological compliance of components the technological principles to eliminate the negative impact of the structural paradox fluorine composites are proposed.

This article describes a method for producing composite materials based on polytetrafluoroethylene with high performance properties. One of the obstacles to achieve this result had been the accumulation of moisture in the semi-finished product, which subsequently led to the appearance of defects in products made of fluorine composites. It is proposed to produce semi-finished preforms under reduced specific pressure, in which the moisture content is easier, cheaper and more efficient to control than with the current technological regulations. It is shown that the use of these semi-finished preforms allows getting almost defect-free products with high performance characteristics.

The influence of parameters of ultrasonic pressing on the mechanical and tribological properties of composite materials on the basis of polytetrafluoroethylene is considered. A new technology for the friction bearings production is proposed and its advantages are shown.
