The need to improve the performance of production systems, related to increasing the level of coordination and integration of all resources and production functions in order to achieve flexibility and higher competitiveness, causes a growing interest in properly describing all processes. The most promising approach is Model Driven Development combined with appropriate standard. The aim of the paper is to propose a model driven development approach for manufacturing execution system based on IEC/EN 622264 standard

The purpose of the research is to present a solution to production planning optimization problems, in cases of short-term customer orders and variable production load. The main reasons for the emergence of the task are the introduction of SMEs to unregulated electricity market and the increasing price of electricity due to the imposition of additional components in the formation of the price. The lack of traditional market and the small number of regular customers of SMEs make it difficult to forecast electricity consumption, and therefor impractical to request electricity for long-term periods of time. A possible solution related to the implementation of operational management systems, which, through the introduction of standard models, will enable the implementation of optimization algorithms for production planning.

Modern society brought high demands on the quality of information systems, which require the use of modern methodologies and software to automate the process and reduce development time of the project and raise its quality. One of the most promising approaches in this direction is the Model Driven Development (MDD), that is an innovative approach for development of different software applications using models at different levels of abstraction and applying model transformation to code generation. The main objective of this paper is to present an approach for model-driven development of online air ticket reservation system based on UML.UML use case diagrams and class diagram are used to model the main requirements and data model of the system respectively in order to achieve reusable and portable models of the system. The developed UML conceptual data model is implemented in a MySQL based database. Finally, some conclusions are made.

In recent years the use of computer technique and information technology in the domain of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) has been increasing significantly. For successful and efficient development of ambient intelligence systems and their components a new approach is needed. The Model Driven Development (MDD) is an innovative approach for development of different software applications using models at different levels of abstraction and applying model transformation to code generation. In order to satisfy the basic requirements to the developed AmI, in the proposed approach, the MDD, based on Model Driven Architecture (MDA), is directed to combine the use of agents as basic elements of the system and to model the internal and external communications in the system, based on the concept of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Such a way, the paper proposes a layered modeling framework for model driven development of agent based AmI systems with service oriented architecture. The deployment of the software on hardware resources is also part of the software process model. Finally some conclusions are made.

Cyber-Physical Systems integrate computation, networking, and physical dynamics. Systems and computer science has provided a solid foundation for spectacular progress in modeling of engineering software application for real-time and embedded systems. This paper discusses and analyses the possibilities of using UML and its profiles to model cyber-physical systems. Two approaches for modeling of cyber-physical components based on the UML profile for system engineering – SysML and on the MARTE profile for analysis and modeling of real-time systems are respectively described. The presented approaches are illustrated with a simple example for modeling of feedback level control system. Finally some conclusions are made.
