    The technology of obtaining copper-ferrochrome composite material

    The research of the technology of obtaining new copper-ferrochrome composite material has been done. The results of its structure and properties analysis are presented. The material structure consists of the copper base, non-dissolved coarse inclusions of ferrochrome, diffused zones, forming around these inclusions and phases, having formed in the place of completely dissolved inclusions of ferrochrome fine particles. The material has good mechanical properties and a high wear resistance due to the formed solid solutions of the carbides in the copper.

    Compression was carried out of modified copper powder workpieces at a pre-determined value of the pressure. High temperature sintering of the workpieces in a neutral medium at a temperature of 1,000°C was performed. A high density metal-ceramic composite material was obtained. Its structure and physico-chemical parameters were determined. Lead-free prototypes were created, corresponding to the weight and dimensions of the reference standard lead passive elements for high energy impact.

    The results of development of the technology for manufacturing samples of insulators made of alumina ceramic with an aluminum oxide content of up to 95% are presented. The maximum tensile strength of the produced insulators has been investigated. The structures of the chip of the ceramic insulator surface have been obtained. It is shown that a change in the aluminum oxide content by 8-10% leads to an increase in the strength properties of the product by 1.5 times. The developed technology can be used to produce high-strength dielectric products, for example, antenna rod insulators, applied in the field of electrical engineering, radio engineering and other industries.

    The process of producing powder permeable materials made of spherical bronze powders by tin-phosphorous pressing method has been investigated. A technique for producing experimental samples based on the granulation of powders by a pore-former has been described. The technology is simple to carry out and it does not require complex equipment. Products have a satisfactory set of properties.

    The paper summarizes studies pertaining to an innovative method of polymeric chips and sawdust boards production. RD boards are manufactured from post-production waste in the form of chips. The chips are heated and pressed under small pressure in metal forms. The product is characterized with good sound and thermal insulation, small mass, and low manufacturing cost. As a consequence, it can be applied in several types of products as a filler.
