The development of information technologies are taking part in all spheres of human lives. In the traffic engineering shows a big need for application of advanced computing tools.

Softwares for traffic analysis except that allow precise, visual and multifactor analysis of the imagined or proposed traffic solutions, they save time and money as opposed to the site testing. For proper development of the traffic, it is needed detailed and comprehensive planning of the process that will contribute to improving the traffic infrastructure.

One of the crucial steps before using any software for traffic analysis is the collection of data with purpouse to establish the relevant traffic loads for the examined area. Namely, to get the real realistic picture of the traffic situation, it is necesarry recording the traffic to get daily, monthly and annual imbalance on traffic intensity in the investigated location. From the data obtained, the software will use the relevant data that realistically reflect the traffic situation.

In the present work will be shown simulation of the most critical crossroads in the town of Gostivar in the two versions of existing and newly-condition situation using the software tool PTV VISSIM 7. Here will be analysed the most important parameters of the current traffic flow – the time losts in order to indicate the need of change the way of the traffic management of this intersection.

Knowledge gained from the Digital factory field needs to be expanded and further disseminated. The use of the Digital factory concept is mainly in laboratory conditions. It is essential for new knowledge to be made it more accessible for further experiments and for acquiring new knowledge for faster and easier deployment. The visualization of machines, devices, and entire manufacturing systems allows for almost faultless design of such systems. It is an expense saving and time-efficient solution. The article represents an experiment aimed at exploring simulation methods used in design and development of production systems by use of simulation digital tool. Comparison of the results obtained by examining the simulation model and real model will be made for acquisition of deviation between virtual model and real model. The task of optimization is, in this case, to create an optimal timetable for individual production lines by increasing flexibility and lowering costs, with prediction that the conditions are met and all orders will be made on time, minimize downtime, reduce production of waste and consider the efficient use of electricity.

The paper presents standard statistical robust bi-criteria procedure for determining expert assessments for the influence of magnesium alloy components on the controlled mechanical properties: tensile strength and relative elongation. There are obtained regression models describing mechanical characteristics from the amount of aluminum, manganese, nickel and silicon directly related to the exploitation properties of the product. The applied bi-criteria approach makes it possible to determine of compositions ensuring relatively optimal values of the explored quality indicators.

The tools for statistical expert evaluation of the influence of alloy composition elements on pre-selected quality indicators are described in order to improve the mechanical properties of the products through the prism of project management. Through the defined approach, it is possible to define a composition providing relatively best meanings of the values of the selected mechanical indices.

A review of the existing methods applied to multi-criteria decision aiding has been made as well as the multi-criteria approach to a class of problems in the field of material science has been defined. The multi-criteria decision aiding has been successfully applied to determine appropriate compromise decisions about the examined parameters of a number of technological processes of welding, chemical thermal processing, iron covering, etc. The approach presented determines the values of technological factors satisfying the requirements of users simultaneously to a number of values examined and proposes a solution for the relatively highest thresholds at one and the same time

At present, there is an increasing emphasis on planning production and assembly systems. In the planning phase, it is important to eliminate as much as possible, ideally all deficiencies and errors of the intended system. Simulation software helps to find shortcomings in production or assembly systems. Using simulation, we can analyze individual parts of production systems in a virtual environment before they are implemented. This all leads to cost savings in the implementation of production systems. The article deals with simulation of production systems and their planning. The case study will illustrate the simulation process in choosing the right manufacturing system.

This research proposes a simulation of a Stäubli TX90 robot based on Simulink Toolbox of Matlab. The goal is to predict the position and trajectory of its end-effector, with high reliability. The simulator takes into consideration loading, deformations, calibrated kinematic parameters, and all eventual sources of disturbance. A comparison between real and simulated data reveals the reliability and the accuracy of the simulator.

This paper deals with a change of states of power transmission system elements up to the achievement of boundary conditions based on a material fatigue. Depending on the level of change in states of elements, an estimation of a remaining working life of a power transmission system was given. Additionally, an estimation of a change of conditions of power transmission system elements , as well as the impact of states of elements on a power efficiency of a vehicle are presented . Besides an analytical consideration, the simulation models were created and the results of simulations presented.

Production planning and control (PPC) system represents a set of decisions on the acquisition, utilization and allocation of resources with the ultimate goal to satisfy customer requirements in the most effective and efficient way. PPC system involves a considerable amount of parameters and synchronizing of a high number of components is a complex process, especially in present business environment where everything has to be decided fast and precisely under an enormous pressure of external factor that undergo through constant change, as so throughout the years a number of methods have been developed with the intention of optimizing the work of PPC systems. One of the methods for optimizing PPC systems which is also used in this case is simulation module for PPC which integrates the parameters involved offering the opportunity of experimenting and analyzing the different possible scenarios in order to find the one that delivers the best possible results without affecting the current actual system and with that reducing the cost and time needed to identify the most optimal solution.

The focus of this paper is the knowledge gained from the engineers when solving production related problems and how this can be utilized when solving issues in the healthcare. Based on this, a research has been made where engineers have conceptualized and developed a simulation model for one polyclinic using real data. The simulation model is a hybrid one using Discrete Event Simulation and Agent Based Modelling approaches. It is created applying the basic principles of the queuing theory that is unavoidable even in the simplest production systems. The model simulates the patient flow in the polyclinic. By using experiments and analysis, what is the ideal number of resources with whom the waiting time of the patient would be under a certain time limit is suggested. This research showed that the possibilities of the application of simulations in healthcare and the benefits of their use are endless.
