Globalization in the modern world covers all areas of life, economy and modern technology, politics and culture. The rapid development of information and communication technologies makes it possible to provide competitive advantages to business organizations. In recent decades, information systems have led to a dramatic increase in the productivity of large and small businesses. This enables an accelerated transition to climate neutrality and digital transformation of the economy, society and industry and requires new technologies, investments and innovations to ensure the sustainable development and competitiveness of every business and a resource-efficient and competitive economy as a whole. The integration of digital technologies in production processes plays an increasingly important role in shaping the competitiveness of enterprises and their sustainable development in the modern world.

In a world of constant change, there is an increasing need for tools and methods that help organizations become more efficient and competitive. Overcoming traditional thinking in business management requires organizations to quickly adapt to market innovations and fully focus on “processes, results, and customers.” Otherwise, many traditionally operating organizations may struggle to survive in a dynamic business environment. The modern concept of production efficiency is no longer limited to individual production units but focuses on the entire value chain, i.e., the “delivery of value” to all stakeholders. Despite the existence of various practices, methods, approaches, or theories that identify and deliver value to different stakeholders, the implementation of improvements within enterprises remains a subjective process. Based on the achievements of existing methods, tools, and best practices for realizing rapid-response and low-cost production processes, this publication proposes a conceptual model for increasing production efficiency in industrial enterprises in Bulgaria. The model takes into account the new realities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its logical continuation into Industry 5.0 by identifying and delivering value to all stakeholders.

During exploitation wagons must fully implement the transportation process safely. Wagons spend their own technical resources in the process of exploitation, and therefore they need to be restored. During the process of moving, accumulated defects in the moving part, axle boxes, brake equipment and in other knots of wagons, and the number of failures in wagons depend on the reliability of the construction and on the quantity of kilometers that the wagons have run.

Increasing the efficiency of machine usage for transport services in agricultural holdings can be achieved by creating stocks of aggregates and units in company warehouses based on a predetermined gamma-percentage of available resources.
This study proposes a methodical approach to determine the 80% of gamma-percentage resource for forklift elements, considering both known and unknown distribution laws for their resources. It includes truncated and repeatedly truncated samples.
The results obtained from this study can be utilized for planning purposes and establishing stock levels to ensure the operational readiness of Bulgarian forklifts.

The project for improvement of the production process based on the Lean methodology in SMELT-ING DOO was implemented in four phases (mini projects). The detailed analysis of the work orders in the period of 9 months provided clear picture of the current situation. With the defined methodology and through mutual meetings with the upper management and the employees of the company, the project team managed to introduce and implement the following mini projects: improved visualisation, digital work order, implementation of 5S and portable tools trolley. All these mini projects have improved the organization of the production process and helped the process of waste
    elimination in the company.

Computer-aided information flow affects the operating efficiency of manufacturing companies. Personalised IT solutions (PITS) may appear to be helpful. The article discusses the rationale and requirement for the use of computer-aided solutions at manufacturing companies and the practical applications of such solutions in selected areas. Computer-aided management of technical documentation (CAMTD), computer aided items design (CAID) and total productive maintenance (CATPM) and options of further work have been proposed. These solutions were prepared in the form of DBMS systems. The final solution will be to integrate PITS into the IT system supporting the information flow in the production company.

We offer decentralized unpowered water lifting, using devices that are installed below a water source, such as a spring. The most promising of the water lifting devices of impulse type is a hydraulic ram. If the hydraulic ram is equipped with a suction tube, it is possible to increase the height difference between the source and the lowest point to the most possible value. If the hydraulic ram is equipped with a torque converter it allows: 1) to adapt optimal operating mode of a hydraulic ram to particular geodesic conditions; 2) to create in advance large-scale hydraulic rams and torque converters and to unitize them for each urgent order 3) in the second circuit, i.e. in the torque converter, any medium may be used as the working fluid: water, oil, coolant, air and so on., that helps produce energy and then transform it into useful function at maximum efficiency (≈ 90%) due to the minimal number of the energy conversion forms.
