The features of the functioning and development of the domestic education system in the context of the requirements of the state strategy for sustainable economic development are considered. The need to improve methodological approaches to the educational process with an increase in research and socio-humanitarian components is shown. Education in all forms of its manifestation in the form of a target process or self-learning is a systemic process in which professional skills and abilities are an important, but not a determining component of a harmonious member of society, which, through its activities, contributes to its progressive development. The fundamental goal of education is to form a harmonious personality, in which the talents laid down at the gene level are manifested and developed to the full extent in adequate accordance with moral criteria based on universal human values and national mentality.

The paper aims to present the results of field research conducted in different regions and municipalities in Bulgaria and related to the formation of local policies supporting the preservation and promotion of Orthodox Christian monuments. The main emphasis in the exposition is placed on examples of good practices for socialization of the Christian heritage with the active participation of the loca l population, as well as good practices from cross-border projects. The methods and approaches for integration of the results achieved by the field research in the education in cultural heritage and tourism have been presented. The relevance of the topic is determined by the insufficient knowledge of the local traditions and good practices for preservation, construction and promotion of the Christian monuments in Bulgaria, as part of the national cultural heritage. Methodology: A descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. We have also used combined methods for analysis and synthesis. The paper is part of the activities of the research project “Creating a model for Saveguarding, Socialization and Promotion of Christian Monuments in Bulgaria”- ДН 15/4 of 11.12.2017, with the financial support of the Bulgarian Science Fund with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The perception, awareness and understanding of risk by the population are important factors for the society safety, which contribute to increasing the preparedness of the population for the effects of crisis events, whether natural, industrial, economic, social, or in enterprise. The article focuses on the analysis of the need for education of students in the area of risk management and crisis management. The research groups were only students, not the population in general. The results were achieved by analysing the current state of education at the Faculty of Security Engineering – University of Žilina and a partial statistical evaluation of the questionnaire survey among students of this faculty. The results indicate that the risk perception of students is relatively low and the need for education in this field is justified.

The contemporary high-efficiency education in the sphere of digital technologies requires the employment of such demonstration methods and tools, which enable visual representation and illustration of the computer technologies in an attractive and accessible form. The aim is to let the learners, even if unprepared in the basic scientific and technological areas – physics, mathematics, informatics, electrical and electronic engineering, etc., easily to understand the working principle of the digital computer.
The goal of this development, the subject of the current material, is the creation of a digital computer, realized using bistable relays (BRC44). The application is with the education of students and pupils in universities and schools in the educational subjects: informatics, computer science, information technologies, electronics, and physics.
The BRC44 computer is a 4-bit computer with 4-bit data bus to the ROM memory. The employed architecture is of the Harvard type. The computer uses only bistable relays as active electronic elements without the implementation of monostable relays, vacuum electronic tubes, transistors and integrated circuits.
The bistable relay based computer is designed around four master printed circuit boards, on which are mounted the bistable relays, the semiconducting diodes, the light emitting diodes, etc.
The approbation of the BRC44 prototype with students demonstrated the easy perception of the working principle of the digital computer, due to the pictorial presentation, the light indication of the current state of each relay, etc. The computer is protected with a utility model registered at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The present article aims to present to a wider audience selected in-depth examples of practice that have been addressed and applied in contemporary education. Using experience as an exchange of ideas for good practice from other countries gives a clear idea of training and the learner development plan. The factors contributing to success in students’ theory and practice are emphasized . All these factors and elements of good practice are interlinked to achieve sustainability and sustainability in all areas of education / leadership, vision and incentives are key at all levels. The main problems faced by students during their transition to the transition are finding the right balance between their theoretical and practical training. The effectiveness of the entire educational and educational system depends on it.
The analysis of the results obtained from the mentioned examples of good practice in education shows that the use of one type of method is not sufficient for the correct perception of the curriculum by the students.
