Design, Modeling, and Construction of a Compact Gas Turbine Prototype for Educational and Experimental Applications

    Industry 4.0, Vol. 10 (2025), Issue 5, pg(s) 178-181

This study presents the design, modeling, and construction of a compact gas turbine prototype. The main goal is to combine theoretical thermodynamic analysis with practical mechanical realization, enabling visualization and study of the performance of a microgas turbine system for educational and research purposes. The design phase was carried out in SolidWorks, where each turbine component, including the compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, etc., were individually modeled to ensure dimensional accuracy and fit during assembly. The 3D model served as the basis for the production and assembly of the real parts of the prototype, built with machined metal components and mounted on a customized steel frame. The combustion and exhaust system was designed to ensure controlled fuel flow and safe ignition conditions, while the shaft was supported on precision bearings to minimize vibration and friction losses. The physical realization, combined with CAD modeling and thermodynamic cycle analysis, provides an excellent platform for studying the thermodynamics of the Brayton cycle, energy conversion efficiency, and heat transfer mechanisms in compact turbines. The study shows that interdisciplinary collaboration between mechanical design, thermodynamics, and practical realization can lead to the construction of a functional prototype for educational and research purposes, which can serve as a basis for experimental testing and further developments in the field of gas microturbines. Future work will include the integration of sensors for real-time data collection and the comparison of experimental performance with theoretical predictions.

The impact of education on the utilization and comprehension of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in relation to the environment. A case study in the ohrid lake catchment area

Mechanization in agriculture & Conserving of the resources, Vol. 68 (2024), Issue 2, pg(s) 61-65

Farmers use commercially available chemical fertilizers and pesticides to increase crop yields, though this can potentially harm their health and the environment. This research aims to scrutinize the correlation between farmers’ educational attainment and their awareness of the ecological ramifications associated with using these chemical inputs. Structured interviews with farmers from seven villages along the shores of Lake Ohrid in Albania provided empirical data to elucidate the relationship between farmers’ educational backgrounds and their propensity to use environmentally harmful chemicals. This premise constitutes the central hypothesis underpinning the study. Employing rigorous non-parametric statistical methodologies, the amassed data underwent comprehensive analysis. The findings reveal a substantive association between farmers’ educational levels and their utilization patterns of chemical agents within agricultural contexts, thus accentuating the imperative for educational interventions and broader policy measures.

    Generation Alpha and the education

    Science. Business. Society., Vol. 7 (2022), Issue 2, pg(s) 75-78

The children of the new age went to school. These are the children of the generation Alpha who do not receive information through traditional channels. These are the children who play, learn and interact through technology. They do not want to and do not read in the traditional way. From a very young age, they have been in contact with information technology, successfully working on it, even before they have spoken. Alpha children are independent and curious, they have their own view of the world, which is different from that of their parents and teachers. Communicating with them requires an approach that is based on negotiation and compromise on the part of adults. Parents and teachers should understand, accept and support them more and criticize and educate them less violently. All this raises the question of
whether teachers are prepared to teach and take into account these new features of the alpha generation, which has already started school and interacts with the education system. Conflict situations often arise between teachers and children, in which educators fa il to respond adequately and professionally to parents

Didactic texts shared via the internet

    Science. Business. Society., Vol. 7 (2022), Issue 2, pg(s) 58-59

Sharing of experience acquired by teaching has always belonged to common teachers’ activities. Formerly, teachers shared experience mainly by sitting in on colleagues’ classes and by sharing experience in professional journals. Thanks to the development of informational technologies in the 21st century, teachers now frequently use the Internet for sharing of experience. Yet there has not been any unified standard in Slovakia for indicating the quality of those published didactic materials.

    Knowledge Sharing Education System

    Industry 4.0, Vol. 9 (2024), Issue 1, pg(s) 35-38

The main goal of the system is for the students enrolled in it to receive additional exercises to help them learn material in various disciplines. In this way, they will have the opportunity for better preparation and will get better results in the discipline s that are taught to them. Through the knowledge sharing system, advanced students who wish to share their knowledge of a subject will be able to register an exercise to lead on days that are convenient for them. This exercise takes place in a system -specified free room at a school/university. Each student has the opportunity to sign up for a given exercise. When recording, the exercise leader can monitor how many student s will attend. The system is managed through administrator accounts. Through them, the events in the system are trac ked, and if necessary, the cold and exercise data can be added, changed and deleted.

Intellectual factor of the new economy: Formation features

    Industry 4.0, Vol. 8 (2023), Issue 5, pg(s) 178-181

The new economy requires the creation of a methodology for training a new type of worker – a “knowledge worker”, whose activities will ensure the innovative development of business entities and social security of workers for a comfortable and safe life. An innovatively receptive specialist with pronounced creative thinking during the formation of a new economy and its subsequent sustainable functioning with a characteristic vector of social development has the intellectual potential for the development and practical use of highly effective innovations that ensure the achievement of strategic goals declared at the state level. To form such a specialist, it is necessary to transform methodological approaches to the intellectual support of educational processes, professional activities and advanced training based on the concept of “lifelong education” (“education through life”).
The features of the functioning and development of the domestic education system in the context of the requirements of the state strategy for sustainable economic development are considered. The need to improve methodological approaches to the educational process with an increase in research and socio-humanitarian components is shown. Education in all forms of its manifestation like as a target process or self-learning is a systemic process in which professional skills and abilities are an important, but not a determining component of a harmonious member of society, which, through its activities, contributes to its progressive development. The fundamental goal of education is to form a harmonious personality, in which the talents laid down at the gene level are manifested and developed to the full extent in adequate accordance with moral criteria based on universal human values and national mentality.
